CA DMV? Smart as dirt and about as bright :x :x :x :x
Contact Sacramento. That's what I had to do. My event had to do with a dirt bike and whether I could get a Green Sticker (all year riding) or Red (restricted) The clerk tried to give me a red sticker and all hilarity broke loose. Went...
I'm getting 3/4T axles w/ 8 lug and I'm wondering if HMMV 16.5s will fit. I read on another board somebody mentioned horrendous backspacing and they had to use 4" spacers for a pick-up.
I think they mentioned 7" backspacing.
That Link! :(
$140 rebuilt - OK
$ 60 core - fine, take the old one in.
$ 35 handling - :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
Then it's not $140. It's $175
I HATE THAT!
Did you flush out the pump before re-installing it? You might indeed have some contamination in the lines or the hydroboost it's self.
If you don't find any leaks bleed the brakes. OVER bleed them  because the only thing I can suggest after that is take it all apart, flush it out, and put...
I'm planning on full "DORKing" mine. Since I'm not restoring to Mil Spec why not? I plan to get lots of 4"x4" or 6"x6" squares. As in cheap stick on shelf liner. Give the whole truck a base green. Apply stickers, add a color, apply stickers, add a color, etc until I have a "digital" camo job...
Closed cell neoprene but the truck bed liner would be best. Since it would be covered by a rubber mat you probably could get away with a cheap one like Herculiner.
I'mm looking at rubber mats as well. What do you think of the Classic Industries? $$? Link?
I'll check the one I have. I'm swaping over to electric. Maybe a trade? I'm looking for the plastic parts on top of the tailgate. They go between the gate and the shell.
I had 2 problems, bad glow plugs and less than 2 gallons of Diesel in the tank. On a u-turn it sucked up air and then the bad glow plugs kept it from starting.
For glow plugs you can look on eBay. Even if you don't buy 'em you know a decent price.
Anybody close? Ideally somebody would pick it up and drop it off in Los Angeles, CA :) :)
More likely I'm looking for someone to pick it up and ship it to me. It will probably have to be palletized as well.
I'd pay for shipping, pallet, of course, and something for time and effort.
It's on...
Finish it. I've got a long way to go....... :)
Yes, I have tried to blow out glow plugs by running it
Didn't work for me. I even tried the running with vice grips! You put vice grips on the glow plug. Start the engine and then grab the vice grips and push towards the block. You end...
Racors seem to have a good name from what I've read. You can get them with water separators & heaters as well. There are plenty of filters which will work with Racor I believe. A 2 micron filter seems to be the ticket as well.
Looks good! What did it run ya $$$?
Wires to the light bar? Thats easy!
Drill a hole on the backside of the roof. Where the bolt holes are. Run the cable inside the roof and down the column. you pick which side. Put another hole into the column from underneath the vehicle. That'll route...
Pennies! now there's a great idea! I do have a fuel tank coating in my future so I can toss this in with that but pennies I can do now.
I'll check out the radiator shop as well.
Thanks!
Got sold a painted turd on eBay. Exterior looks good but the interior has a fine example of rust grown in it.
I don't suppose there is much I can do to save this. It's bad surface rust. The main problem being it's inside the can so I'm thinking it's a lost cause.
Looking at the gas tank sealer...
Just checked the seats in my '87 Blazer Silverado. Yep, they recline. Now a previous owner could have swaped them out but mine do
I'll compare them to the M1009s I have. I'd be surprised if you couldn't just swap the hardware.
