Thanks for starting this thread Blendmaster. After reading all about this law, this pretty much sums it up: HOW STUPID. Is it really too much to ask to be able to own a 5 ton, not use it commercially, but still be able to go to the home store of your choice and get all the material for the fence...
Definitely check the kingpin springs and bushings. If you have stock size tires it's probably just worn kingpin springs, especially with the age of these vehicles. It's also a good idea to check and repair any steering related parts while you are focused on the front end.

Well gents, I put in my request for the days off. Hopefully they don't throw them out the window and laugh in my face. (Especially because I need the next weekend off too!) I'm excited to come out this year. I wasn't able to make it last year due to not finding out until after my schedule was...
I looked around and couldn't find any black ones. I just got the warn premiums and scuffed up the chrome and paint with sandpaper and painted them flat black. If you sand and prep them well and don't leave any smooth chrome or paint then the new flat black shouldn't flake off.
