    Massachusetts registration & insurance

Well Paul, I am not sure of your experience in our Fine State, but let me tell you that Massachusetts is one of the toughest states to register and insure a vehicle. As I have stated before "in my experience Mass. only like two types of vehicles personal and commercial" This is what they would...

I usually don't recommend 16.00R20, because they take all the power out, but if you were going to a bigger engine. That maybe OK. Seems like a lot of work, maybe you should have bought a later truck, maybe a 900 series? When all is said and done. It will be cheaper!

    Massachusetts registration & insurance

I Just completed insurance and registration of my Jeep-Kaiser M813 cargo truck. Massachusetts and it insurance companies are very tricky to deal with some don't give them to much information. Both the Massachusetts RMV and the insurance companies look at anything like a deuce and half or 5 ton...

M.Walker I like the look and I would do it to my truck, BUT I have a winch bumper and that thing sticks out way to much now. I would like to find a tire rack that fits between the cab and body too. Nice job!

Fuller 9 spds and Mack engines?

No not that truck. I have seen that truck too. It was originally a M51 dump truck but it is missing the dump bed. That means it is a short wheelbase. I think he has a deuce cargo bed for it. I know he has a **** load of tires. I am planing on picking up a set of 11.00R20 from him.

powering a 45,000 lb Garwood winch with hydraulic pump

After doing my homework on this winch. Here is what I found. IT IS TO **** BIG! there is a reason that the drum has no freewheel. I don't think you could pull 3/4 cable off a drum by yourself. The big worm gear winches are slow. unless you are going to pull down a house I would stick with a nice...

Fuller 9 spds and Mack engines?

The guy selling the Multifuel 5ton with super singles backed out of the deal. It worked out for the best. I bought a M813 with a winch and a 250 Cummins. The Cummins is the balls! It pulls like Ox and purrs like a cat. Plus my buddy has all the parts I would ever need! I am planning on boosting...

818 now with turbo and pics.

Thanks jimk! I would hook it to it's own cooler like a transmission cooler or AC condenser radiator with a pump. If I use a transmission cooler with a fan and pump I could mount it anywhere. But like you said, It is already cool. It might not be worth it. I will try it straight first. That way i...

818 now with turbo and pics.

I just picked up my M813 NTC 250 and drove from almost Canada to Boston. The trip took me through the mountains of VT and NH. The truck pulled like a mule and went between 50-60 mph depending on if it was going up or down a hill. I had the pedal to the floor running 2100-2200 rpm. Oil pressure...

powering a 45,000 lb Garwood winch with hydraulic pump

I have done a lot of home work on this winch and I am hearing the same thing. This winch is to big for what I want to do with it. I will replace it with a 20,000 lb winch and hook it up in the stock set up and I am getting a dump bed off a 5ton. So everything will bolt up. Sometimes it is better...

More information would be great. I will be talking with a hydraulic supply company too. But knowing is half the battle! I always double check before I buy!

Fuller 9 spds and Mack engines?

My truck has a Multifuel right, which has low hours and will be fine. But My buddy is unloading his prized stash right now. I am sure he would sell me what ever I want cheap! He has them all. I could get a Detroit or a Cummings if I wanted, but I think a Mack would be a straight forward swap. I...

powering a 45,000 lb Garwood winch with hydraulic pump

Wow! you guys are great! Robert do you think you could tell me how your system is run. Starting at the PTO. What size pump? what size hoses? controls? pressure and flow? what size motor for the winches. size of your dump piston? and reservoir? This will help me guide me way though this.
