Clutch is done... I am...
ah don't get to envious there... The tooling is all mine (except the parts washer, which I do have but is stored) but the shop is not!!! I work out of work which is a little unusual but its a two way street kinda thing. I can pretty much produce or reproduce most any simple thing you come up...
Ok... The clutch parts are back... IMHO a SLIGHT over charge in the price but what can you do when you want something fast... 360$ for the rebuild and flywheel ground. The plate is now sporting copper crematic pads which are supposed to be "the thing"... We will see how they holds up in time I...
Ditto and ditto... If you dont have a torch crank her up and let her get good and hot first... Break them loose and back the nut off enough to pass the ends of the studs threads then let it cool and deal with the rest.

Well... The clutch is in the shop they said Friday to get it back so I have my fingers crossed on that part!!!
I had a lengthy discussion with him about clutch types, materials, designs, etc... The friction plate core I have is a five finger design with ceramic pads... Not much room for...
I am gearing up for the axle drop on my truck, I have promised Ken the spare tires but I will have the bogie set up and 1 axle to spare if anyone is in need or is in want of the parts and pieces?
Sale, trade, boat anchor, swap, gimme... Speak now or hold your piece when the mess starts hitting...
heat = bad connection... Change or reem the cable ends with a battery terminal tool to reshape the inside holes... Just casue they are tight does nto mean your getting good contact across the lenght of the battery post... Hose both sides with some type of terminal protector (prefer the sticky...
I have a tire changer... Slide hammers... on and on and on... The first and last deuce tire I tried to strip took me 2 hours with a Cat backhoe and I was NOT being nice to it... Lesson learned 1-800 come change this bloody thing while I watch!!!
