Pics of members rides in their parades

There’s a video on YouTube of one of the parades. Three of my trucks are at the 41:40 time stamp: https://www.youtube.com/live/U8gl-Pqa8RE?si=mtGOYTIt7R88GQ1u

Pics of members rides in their parades

I could probably make this a standalone post but it fits in here so nicely. Anyway, Cheyenne Frontier Days is almost over for 2025. It was a busy time. Three days with Fort DA Russell Days, four downtown parades and one stadium parade. Lots of pictures!

Pics of members rides in their parades

Not sure if I posted these. They were from a couple years ago. Hope to have them in this years parades and static displays.

    NSN question

See figure one. TM 2815-237-34P. You’ll probably need the engine serial number to get the correct one.

Checking Brakes and Steering on My 83 M35A2

Not sure. I’ve not used this method before. I guess it depends on the condition of the parts. If they’re in good condition, it should help clean them up. If any of the parts are breaking down, i.e. cracks in the soft parts, it won’t do any good. In my experience, silicone spray won’t rejuvenate...

Checking Brakes and Steering on My 83 M35A2

As far as I know, there’s no difference between the various years of M35A2’s. The A3’s may be different but I’ve never worked on them.

Checking Brakes and Steering on My 83 M35A2

The set up you are looking at seems to fit the bill. I personally don’t use that much equipment. A simple brake bleeder, a wrench to fit on the bleeder fitting and a container to catch fluid. Start by filling the brake system. Then pump the brakes a few times to try and build up pressure. Next...

Checking Brakes and Steering on My 83 M35A2

I’d recommend you not worry about adding any more brake fluid until you fix the leak. Personally, I won’t drive my trucks with leaking brakes. I had a sudden complete brake failure because I didn’t fully understand the brake system. Your call, regardless the brakes need a full inspection and...

Checking Brakes and Steering on My 83 M35A2

Looks good to me. I’ve changed several of these. It’s always messy. I quit using rubber gloves (actually nitrile from HF) because they never last but a few minutes.

    303M HydraMatic rebuild

The world will be sadder if we lose you Rusty. As far as wasting time, in my case, what else would I be doing? Better yet, what would I rather be doing? I can’t think of anything better than tinkering around my shop and the multiple projects that will bring me a sense of satisfaction. Yes, many...

    303M HydraMatic rebuild

I’m no welder but I’ve been trying to learn the trade. One of the things with cast iron is it’s a pain to weld. Yes, it can be welded. One must have patience however. The piece to be welded must be heated up. The don’t know the exact temperature but it depends on factors such as thickness...

    PRC 10 radios

I absolutely hated NATOPS. It was ok for a reference but sifting through it to answer questions on the open book, PITA. MCI courses weren’t too bad. I took three courses and aced all three. Still have my NATOPS and my checklist. IIRC NA-01-230HMA- something I no longer remember. I can still do a...

    PRC 10 radios

Hopefully they have something like that near Cheyenne. Back when I was still in the service, I needed to get my A&P license. I had to take three multiple guess tests and the oral and then practical tests. It took about a month and a half or so to do everything . It was really expensive though...

    PRC 10 radios

I’m in the early stages of learning about radios. I’ve got a bunch of test equipment and power sources that may help my journey, once I figure out how they work. I’ve also got a bunch of electronic parts, which I need to figure out how to use to repair broken radios. My end goal is to have...
