Choosing the Right MV for the Job - Need Ideas, Experience, & Opinions from MV Users
Hi all, I have been doing research for the past several months on MV Vehicles, but I can't decide on what is really needed for the type of Uses I need the vehicle to do. I have never owned an MV, So I need some...
Good Points. Well for what I need it to do.... Maybe I should be looking at a 2 1/2 ton Deuce multi fuel...? I was hoping to find something like a deuce, only smaller.
Very Nice M-715, great work! I may not be looking for one to be in such pristine condition body wise. But I am searching for one that is good mechanically, with a decent body with out rot and such. Good all around vehicle from everyone that I have heard who has/had them.
no, not just to add..... I was asking because in this thread it sounded like there might be talk of changing it from 100 to 250. sorry i was just asking, as I was planning on posting a "want ad" at some point. If needed i can delete my question and this reply, thats no problem.
I'm am seriously consider the M-715, actually I might get 2 if I could find them in good shape for a decent price. From everything that I have read, they should make a good "all purpose" vehicle. They work on road, although they might be a bit slower, but from all that I have seen, they are...
Looking at getting an M1009 right now. Doghead's Starter Relay Update will be at the top of my "maintenance" check list. Definitely Glad I found out about this BEFORE it becomes a problem
Thanks Doghead! [thumbzup]

Hey, since the time that the phrase "2cents" was coined (pun intended), with the US currency at almost hyper-inflation levels now, that should be worth a lot of $$$$$ now days :)
Seriously though, you're right. Its safer to haul it without knowing the system conditions... especially the brakes...
Yeah that just what I was thinking a few min ago. I think I wanted to late this time. I'll try anyway, if not oh well. Who knows, maybe next time, or maybe I'll find a private owner who is selling.
I'd rather go with a private seller anyway, but there just doesn't seem to be anything in my...
The chat is not open today, but I'll get this done in the morning.
Also can I have it changed that the payment would be in the form of a cashiers check instead of them doing it by the credit card? Or do they only charge a % to the card as a "down payment" or to hold it...??
Thanks for the info and tips Glcaines & Chief_919. You both have some good points, and I'll keep these things in mind.
Yes I think it could just considered a civilian vehicle... It's an M1009. I'm going to schedule a preview in a couple of days before I bid. Does anyone know if you can tow a...
Hey everyone, this is my first real post here on SS. Just joined a week ago or so, and I have to say, there is a lot of great information on this site! So a big [thumbzup] to owner and modz who have put this site together, to bring knowledge together on a subject that few understand.
I have...
