No, you'd use TWO pvs-14's, and that's just to maintain depth perception. Field of view is reduced in just about all NVG. Save for some of the exclusively high end 4/6 tube headsets.

Let's stick to just the night vision topic, not all these end of the world kind of talks.

Does it work? Yes. Does it work well? Ehh. Do you have any depth perception? No. If you really want something like this, two PVS-14's with G3 tubes and a IR source wins hands down. Or if there's moonlight, no need for IR source. I get this all the time when talking to people about guns...

It's doubtful that the resistor would ever fail in this circuit. It's just half of the voltage divider. The glow plugs are the other half and that half is divided into 8, which is what causes the cascade failure. Honestly one dead plug isn't likely to have much effect. Two, probably not much...

So I split the tractor and got the "bullet" out of it along with the pump. Splitting it wasn't that bad at all. Those long bolts worked great. I've put the tractor back together. Because the glow plug system in the CUCV runs off the 24v side, it goes through the resistor bank on the firewall as I mentioned earlier to step down to 12v through a voltage dividing circuit.
