Fastenal sells regular air brake compression fittngs, they are shaped a little different than a regular compression fitting, I rerouted my airline from the compressor and got all the proper fittings at fastenal!

My truck was showing the same front end signs as yours, The tow was way off, I corrected the tow in, and now it runs along as smooth as silk

Saturn has them and so does TNJ Murry, priced the same for a complete kit $475.

I'm not sayin your way isnt the right way, But i changed mine without removing the glass, and only used a phillips screwdriver, took me about 15 minutes to change the whole latch assembly

I recently bought the last right side door latch that saturn surplus had, The same thing happened to mine, the little spring on thr latch itself broke. I know TNJ murry has them, I think around 60 bucks!
