MASSIVE update coming soon.... I've been down with an ACL replacement, so everything slowed down. To say the last 6 months have been.... educational.... is an understatement.
I've got to agree with @VPed
I modified a M1061 and hauled a M715 behind my M923 and while certainly lookinging awesome, loading and unloading added stress to an otherwise enjoyable experience.
I now use a tow bar and am MUCH less stressed.
Sometimes it's the simplest thing. I had a similar issue with my M715. I had a misfire and couldn't lock it down. I finally decided to check the plug wires at the distributor and plugs 2 and 4 were swapped.
Glad you found it and thanks for updating us!
I have the AM2060, power cable etc for the PRC 77 if that's something you're interested in.
It mounts to the troop seats. I have the power cable that passes through the bed and cab wall and I *believe* I have the antenna cable.
It definitely had the rectifier that went in front of the grill (missing now).
Based on the holes and the big electrical block on the firewall, I'd say you're right about it being a radio truck.
A solargizer needs to output 24v. Otherwise ot will get to 12 and stop. Here's what I use in my 5 ton:
Here's a comment where I showed how I hooked it up:
Solar panel hookup
If you are looking for USB charging, you can do it with this from Amazon:
I ordered one and installed it in my M715 hooked up to my switched power off of the power switch.
If you want to be REALLY fancy, you can get a data port cover and put it in and mount it and it looks OG MILSPEC
