I'm 6'8, but no wieght. Flipped the wiper motors and installed the older style box seats in both trucks. At first I modified a spring seat to move the back of the seat rearward. But box seats slid all the way back without mods, and seem to fit better.
I've moved the filter on 2 trucks. Just moved it back about 4 in on the frame rail, enough to get them from underneath the altenator. Lot easier to change, and have little more adjustment on the altenator.
I don't remember being that messy about it! Would have used the M108 to swap out my axle, but it was the truck getting the axle swapped.
Even without a wrecker, it was a quick job. Just cribbed up the truck behind the rear spring hanger, with the axle just off the ground.
They make...
Being 6' 8", it's not a problem to open and close the hood from the ground. Now a truck on 395's might be a problem. And fitting in the cab is an issue.

Here's a video of me operating the winch. Had a helper, but don't always have one. One time thought the PTO was in neutral when getting out of the cab, and it was in reverse. Made a mess of the cable.
When I first looked a this thread, I thought, "Wow, what a neat idea". Then realized I would take the M108 and a camper. Then the only way for me to do it sanely is to have the truck and camper shipped to the starting point, fly in, then shipped home from AK, and fly home. By the time it's...
I am using Mig21's rims. You can reverse all the hemtt rims so you don't need to flip the hubs. The difference is whether the bolt pattern adapter is welded in or bolted in. No other real difference.
This is Gimp at Stretch's.
The standard deuce PTO, facing forward for the winch, attached to the transmission.
Standard PTO plus rear facing PTO output, used on dump trucks.
Transfer case PTO to the rear, fuel, water and other trucks.
Also, the standard winch PTO has a 6 bolt cover that can be removed and another PTO...
Just to be clear, Tom has an axle that uses a sliding collar to lack the axleshaft to the differentail carrier. It is not like an ARB air locking diff, and you can not swap the center chunk in another axle.
(I think...LOL)
I would love to put air lockers in my trucks. Lack of money. :(
Bigger than I've seen. They have hauled 3-400,000lbs loads into work before, but they have one pull truck, a pusher engine, and over 100 wheels. That thing is a monster.
