MEP-003a about $2,000. 002a's as high as $1,900 recently. With current societal concerns, I don't see the prices retreating. Ditto on pre-inspection. Out west they seem to be cheaper. Jerry

I don't understand the stator's function. Apparently you can get good AC from the generator while having a bad stator. Does it have any other role than to provide AC for conversion to Dc for battery charging? Jerry :?:

Speaking of the bolt under the flywheel Keith mentioned, assuming you are not lifting the engine, it helps to ensure that bolt is cranked down far enough to support the flywheel and rear of the engine, otherwise , as you loosen the head, the engine drops and causes binding. Mine was not...
