Thanks for the kickbacks gents! I have the 3M stickers but was looking for the original aluminum pieces with the stamped numbers. Looks like I'll have to go the 3M way afterall.
The NSN and the VIN are correct. Had the state guy come by and verify last week. I thought it was ARMY, from the paperwork from GL, but you know how that goes... Where and what is the registration number?
Does anyone know where to get the crimped aluminum wire numbers?
While chasing out the wires to replace the lights, I found some of the stamped numbers all but impossible to read. I have several parking light leads that need replacing (frayed) and would like to update the tags at the same...

Agree with most all of the above (dont know about plowing), the curb weight is 5800# for the 1028.
Here is a gear/tire rpm calc.: Gear Ratio Calculator just remember the trans case is a 208 and gears are 4.56.
Good luck!
If it was Kims Rad and they say it was not repairable, its not. Might want to check with them about getting a new core installed, short of that, a new unit would be in order. Sorry it did not come out better for ya!
Click through the link below and enter your zip code. Most all of the stores can order it for you, although some might have no clue. Best bet would be to get one that offers to the automotive or industrial side of things.

I saw 4 truckloads of Hummers going down IH-10 toward New Orleans 2 weeks ago. All of them were upfitted with armour and all had 24 bolts on the wheels.
Is there a corrolation between armour upfit and 24 bolt wheels? I have not seen any 'regular' Hummers with 12 bolts.
