    GH-3153 welder and genset

Interesting. Rebuilt Granite City Engineering Depot 1955. Has the Chrysler 230 engine similar to M37 truck. If the engine is full of water the unit is uneconomical to repair. Issues with these ancient generators is the grease in the armature bearing is no longer any good, and getting to that...

Salvage yards with Continental LD465 engines or parts?

Red River Parts and Equipment has these. It’s very expensive to rebuild these engines, which is why most everyone opts for good running take outs.

    6.2 rebuild help

Suggest you take careful inside micrometer measurements 360 around the inside of the bearing with the cap torqued. Might need a tiny bit shaved off where the halves meet.

    New M422A1 owner

Look for an X stamped in the ends of the front axle spindles, if there is none, it will likely snap off and then the wheel falls off.

Kingpin or 5th wheel Jaw fails

Been there got the tshirt. Backing into a 172 trailer, dollied up and took off, only to see the trailer flop down like a dead fish. Well suffice it to say the landing legs on 172s are not capable of lifting the trailer, only supporting it. So it was hours with bottle jacks and cribbing to get...

    Vehicle history and hood numbers

Welcome. The only place that these numbers will be is under coats of paint on your hood and bumpers. If your truck has been sandblasted, they are lost. Sand carefully to find them. You might find several iterations of these numbers as trucks were repainted often.
