When I said give it a jerk, I should have said a GENTLE jerk. Didn't look that stuck from the photos. I've had to tug on mine before just from the cable being stuck in between(not under) wraps.
I've probably used the winch 10 times. Most of the time I didn't have soldier B. Always ran it...
Think I should speak up since my name's in the title? :D
Forgot that the towbar on the M108 was down. So I'm lining it up, go to pull forward, and the darn truck won't move. Check the ebrake and try again, and it still won't move. Goes just fine in reverse. Then Gimpy noticed the towbar...
I thought it was a decent, if small, show. about 30 dealers, and 20 trucks. Some good deals to be had, and a couple of interesting vehicles. I liked the old civilian jeeps that were there, just because I have one. A couple more MV's showed up that I didn't get pics of.

Here's the thread on the problem I had with the snap-ring. 5th gear would almost, but not quite, slip out of gear. May or may not be related to your problem.

The airline to the rear gladhand will not work on deuce's. There is a check valve that prevents the air from back feeding. Only works on 5 tons with front gladhands.
Haven't used it in a diesel. I do use it in my 93 chevy K2500. Add about 4 ounces per tank of gas(20gallons), MPG went from 13 to 15/16. Cost about 12 for a gallon, and lasts about 6 months. Didn't improve my highway MPG much, maybe 1 mpg. Truck just seems to run better now at partial throttle.
The valves on mine are opposite most ball valves. When the handle is parallel, it's closed, when perpendicular, it's open. Pretty annoying to someone who uses ball valves and installs them. Easy enough to find out, just turn the valve on the passenger's side, it will blow air when there is...
Here's something totally non-helpfull, but fun. Ingersoll 3-1/2 impact, adjustable to 80,000 lbs of torque! This thing could twist the whole truck in half.
I've used 1-1/2" impacts at work, they don't look much different. Takes two people to use the darn thing.
