You just need a new injector line. I just got 6 from George at White Owl.
What has me really stumped is you say you stuck that back in and it barely leaked? I don't see how that is possible.
I use a 1"x 12" galvanized (black iron would work also) nipple with a cap threaded on one end. I use the cap as a striking surface for my 3 pound mallet. Use it like a giant drift punch. You will know when it seats. As clinto said the sound totally changes.
In case anyone is wondering the...
You have to understand that the prop shaft is already so short that without moving the transfer case backwards there isn't room for any bigger of a transmission. This very topic has been covered numerous times.
Bear in mind, moving the transfer case is no small task.
If you haven't already purchased the transmission and are willing to take on moving the transfer case then I suggest finding something with an overdrive. Otherwise you will be going through a lot of trouble for not much gain.
If I had to guess it won't fit unless you move the transfer case back. Then your in custom territory. Isn't the final drive 1:1 in the mt643? If that is the case then there isn't much benefit to retrofitting it in.
My local crawler shop did literally suggest I dump my drum brakes and switch to a pinion brake. Then they pulled out a brake rotor from a mazda truck and said it would work fine.
I don't think they appreciated my gratuitous laughter.
Pull the rubber boot back on the master cylinder. If there is brake fluid behind it the MC needs rebuilt or replaced. Is there brake fluid in the MC? If you bleed the brakes does it function and then loose pedal over time? You need to diagnose the problem before swapping parts around. For...
A few simple things to check would be that there are 2 holes visible in the bottom of the MC reservoir and the push rod from your brake pedal to the MC is in the correct place and adjusted correctly.
I apologize for the thread hijack. What you created is awesome in my book. Just the cool factor is worth it. I love custom work. Details like a header are what make custom trucks different from the sea of stock deuces out there. Including my truck at the present moment.
