    Duramax in a m35a2

Wow...that's awful. Like I made it twenty seconds and stopped it AND that was hoping for a run over. Dude... Anyway, ARMY of one has me most the time doing everything by myself and I needed to pull start my one deuce...with my crane truck. Got my sturdy grade 80 chain, hooked up, set the...

    Lower A-arm pn

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to see an actual PN on the lower A-arm...not just the military PN's that don't seem to match anything.

    Duramax in a m35a2

Yeah, anyway. I can pop start one deuce with another by myself! No really...I have.

Thanks, Jones- I don't know if it's front or rear, but it's LH side. I'll check under a real H1 at lunch tomorrow. ...hopefully it's still parked in the same place. :) thanks guys.

Spring 2011 Rausch Creek MV Rally

I should be able to make it in the 406. Still working on if it will be two days or not. Saturday for sure.

    Building full hydro steering

Double check the local laws to see if full hydraulic steering is legal. Some states, iirc, must have a mechanical link and hydraulic assist only.

    Duramax in a m35a2

Go for it! The electronics will be some time sorting out but the overall end result package will be really, really a good set up. You'll probably have about the highest HP deuce around as well. I had one in my '02 GMC and that engine did very well even when the world was running out of thick...

To flip or not to flip hubs

So with all these great big meaty tires on the trucks...who's going to build one that articulates in front of the bed like a big rock truck? [thumbzup] ...and don't look at me, I'm holding out for a 5 ton to nest my big Detroit into-

    A3 deuce rims

I put a set of A3 wheels on the front of my crane truck so I could, A: run a tire to take the added weight...and B: have a wider, meatier tire and that super single look. I ran 12.5R 20 Continental MPT's which are the same height as the stock 900x20's so they're even with the back.

    Snatch Blocks

Double sheaves are cool, but I've never had need for one. Singles I could use all the time...not to double the line but to steer what's being pulled. Usually a big log up a steep bank.

    overdrive gears available soon

Hmmm...you'll need to be more specific since my name is Tom as well. :) You'll need a LOT of engine to pull 4.90's and that tall overdrive. Also, what's the Goodyear tire height so the info can be calculated better? Randy's Ring and Pinion, link below will allow you to put in your ratio's...

    47 vs 49's

Well, gimp and I are gonna have to agree to disagree on that. NDT's will get you stuck on wet leaves. 395's...I have direct experience with XML (and love them) will get into a lot of places NDT's won't. The difference in traction and footprint size is impressive.

Work on the baby HEMTT grinds to a start.

I tell ya what...don't be so sure of that- them cranes have some moxy!!!

    47 vs 49's

In my opinion, the 2" wider 395's have a little better look than the 1400's. So you could do six now and 2 future spare. [thumbzup]

Work on the baby HEMTT grinds to a start.

Wow Jones, just WOW! Great work, awesome attention to detail! You're going to really like that M977 crane. I mounted mine behind the cab and that thing...I can't believe all the shenanigans I used to go through to move something that now I can just snatch and go. Oh, one other thing- I saw...

That's awesome! :D I like watching KRAZ videos on youtube.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

When I put the A3 wheels on the front of my crane truck, they had some big clunky valve stems in them. I went to replace them with commercial stems but they were not the right size for the wheel hole. I ended up going to a tire shop that does a lot of ag stuff and they had a stem that was darn...

    'Pin-on' 10,000lb front winch

You are very correct- not a failed test...a reaffirmation of the dangers of previous owners! An ironic part of the deal was that I was just telling my neighbor a couple days earlier that I was going to get rid of some the pine trees in that field. HA! The deuces batteries were too...
