I can get a set with 11:00-20 Michelins on them. About $280 per wheel.

    M185A3 wannabe m756a2 project

Are these bed sides custom made for the pipeline bed or is it something that existed as original issue? The bed looks tough as nails with these sides on! I looked through your list of repairs (critical vs. nice-to-have) and the critical repairs you list is pretty much stuff every Deuce owner...

oil leak at Injection pump to block

It is tight and the steering box is in the way. Can you remove the injection pump end of the hose and then get an exacto knife up there to slice the hose off the pushLok fitting? You can't install the new hose that way, but it would give you more room to get a crow's foot wrench or similar up...

checking oil level on a deuce

You are right regarding the oil pan having two deeper areas with the recess for the axle in between them. That is different than having two complete separate sumps. Consider that, when the right amount of oil is in the pan, the oil level is quite a bit above the height of that recess. so it does...

    M185A3 wannabe m756a2 project

My eyes are recovering from the funky camo job. Green....much better.

    Transmission oil clarification

I ran SAE 80/90 gear oil in my transmission and it worked. No issues but harder to shift when the weather got cold. I now run SAE 40 non-detergent and it works better.

Mulemac01 M275 2 1/2 ton Gas truck tractor ON-GOING restoration and rebuild tread.

If the batteries are significantly discharged , the little 25A generator has a hard time charging. Maybe charge the batteries with a proper charger and then reassess. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Check fan and fan-shroud interference as well.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I would loosen the band brake first...might be too tight and/or rusty.

    11r22.5

Karl!!! Go get the 10 rims! The OTR tread looks too big rig-ish for me. Sorry. This needs gnarly offroad truck tread tires to look good. Otherwise...might as well go chrome your exhaust stack. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    M35A2 Windshield Rebuild

It's home and the rebuild can start

You would essentially be building a new cab. Unless you really like endless endless endless repair work, get a good cab, fix THAT one up while it is off and empty, swap it out and be done with that part. I am sure there is more to fix on a truck that has a cab looking like this....

Driving in England/Europe, anywhere that isn't the US...

I appreciate the adventure aspect. Personally, having lived in and travelled extensively in (Western)Europe and adjacent countries, all the way into Russia, I can't jump up and down and say "great idea". If you travelled through western Europe...yes. That is certainly fun; you would get...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Temperature was just below freezing this morning. She cranked for 15 seconds until she fired up, which is normal for a cold start without any starting aids. I tried out the tow lights I got from DERRICK and they work very well (with the repaired trailer receptacle...) Winter is coming and it...

    preventable rear suspension failure

I can confirm that, after pumping what seems like much too much grease in with the pneumatic grease gun, it came out on the back, pushing all the old grease and gunk out. I did that after taking the caps off and installing a grease zerk and inspecting the bearings (were fine). I had the axles...

    Coolant Flushing

I drained the coolant, refilled with plain tap water, added CASCADE non sudsing detergent and ran the engine to operating temp. Then I drained again, unhooked the radiator hoses, put the garden hose into the upper radiator port on the block and ran the engine, water gushing out at the bottom...

SERVICE BULLETIN: M35A3 Self-Destructed Radiator Fan Threw Blades

All you need to do is to loosen the rad bolt nuts at the bottom, unhook the radiator bracket at the top and one end of the upper rad hose and tilt the rad forward. Enough room to get to the four bolts that hold the fan. If you have a w/w truck, put a piece of cardboard between rad and winch so...

SERVICE BULLETIN: M35A3 Self-Destructed Radiator Fan Threw Blades

Not sure if I ordered a 20" or 18"..I think 20 because it needed trimming. The 18 probably won't. It has been a couple years. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
