There is pretty heavy regulations and annual inspections for anything steam powered even at the hobby level. Go to a tractor show and talk to someone with a steam tractor about the saftey requirements and you will realize why there is not a steam powered duece . They tend to explode easily .
No inspection ,no warranty , paid way to much, they replace the transfer case which they had no obligation to do to make you happy . This tread is nothing but buyer remorse for your failures in this purchess , nit picking a 40 year old truck to justify not paying for the parts they shipped ...
a couple 1009's on the east coast recently sold from GL for over $4000 plus fees so $ 3500 for one thats tittled and you can take with you isn't bad . 2cents
