I used exactly 100 rivets when I put mine in. pulled both seats to get to it all. dropped right in and went smoothly. I can tell a difference in the squeaks and rattles. I'm supposed to buy another this weekend for the 5T.
this is great info. just what I was looking for. Do you all like to mount your EGT such that it samples all the cylinders or is there 1 that likes to run lean and you look at that one?
also what EGT should a stock 250 run? so I can judge where mine is now as compared to normal.

well ron here is how I figure it.
truck by itself weights about 22k
truck with 146 29k
truck with 270 39k
all weights are per the scales at GL.
Truck by itself will go full speed with no problem
truck with 146 would hold speed on all but larger hills.

As some of you have read my truck now desperately needs more power with the install of new 1600's.
what are all my options for the NHC-250?
how high can I run the EGT and still be totally safe.
the other weekend I ran my truck with the pedel literally to the floor for 4 hours coming home...

can the big cam motor be used without the turbo and still make more power than out motors? or can we install the big cam in the nhc 250 and do better
ya thats a buddy of mine who just happened to be right in the area and went with me to pick it up. worked out great and we got to see some pretty cool stuff at the drmo.
Gotta love when you drive up to the front gate of the base and they just salute you and wave you in.

I've been told all 4 are flat on the trailer. so that why I have 5. also some of my 5 are dry rotted.
I am going to try and go to the ga ralley. just not sure what all I will bring.

I have a M270 and pulled it 300 miles last week with a 30ft connex on the back. it will pull anything you hook to it but with the big tires...
in gasoline engines we usually figure about 10hp per lb of boost in 8-1Cr engines. if you want to see what your ole deuce will feel like without a turbo just unhook the tube connecting the turbo to the intake. that is if yo have a turbo deuce. I did it on mine and WHAT a TURD. I mean it's...
I too installed the 1600's this weekend on my 818. I do like the extra speed but it's terrible on power now when pulling ANY load. just an empty trailer and it's full throttle all the time and downshifting on ANY grade and down to 45mph. I need to find a way to get more power from the NHC-250.
