    Deuce light switch overheat?

Yes, built-in self resetting circuit breaker. A wire chafed through at one of the lights maybe?

    Copper fuel return line

Copper tubing is "original". It is also expensive and less robust, compared to practically all modern synthetic fuel line options. I would investigate how I could connect a synthetic line instead.

found m35a1 what am I in for

I like the sound; that side exhaust is not bad, either! Good save!

M35A1 to sell or not to sell ??

Negative. Forum members may just not want to interfere with what is entirely your decision. You own the truck. Maybe people would like for you to buy it a plow companion... :-) I noticed that, at times, people are very privacy-conscious, while at other times they just let it rip. I am sure...

Hey guy I think I have a head gasket blow out... what do you think

Before you even think head gasket in the absence of other issues, check valve gasket (rubber; will leak if overtightened, will leak if too loose). Check oil filters. The fan is a monster and is on all the time; it blows oil everywhere. Can't make it out on my little screen, but check whether...

Engine Coolant - The pond on the passenger floor

Looks like the built in passenger floor washer to me.

Replacing input/output shaft seals on transfercase, any pointers?

Can someone tell me if these transfer case input and output seals are the same as the pinion seals?

    Brake Bleeding

Common wisdom is that a stock Deuce with winch is already close to the weight rating of the front axle. The bed is centered over the tandems and a load adds little weight to the front axle. Some very respected forum members repeatedly argued against adding any weight to a w/w Deuce front end...

Will a lds465-1a interchange with a ldt465-1c and what is the differance?

A quick search: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?92403-LDT-465-1C-vs-LDT-465-1D-What-s-the-difference Basically, the 1d is the latest iteration of the block and probably what you want. You definitely want the "TD" lettering cast into the block. The peripherals (IP, alternator etc.)...

    Brake Bleeding

My own truck is titled as GAS, because it solves a whack of emissions related issues. The multifuel's IP is lubed by engine oil, not by fuel as is custom with many other models. While fuel lubricity is certainly a good thing, it does not mean destruction for the multifuel IP if it is run on...

    Deuce Manuals

I'll rescue you from being schooled...just look up on the page where it says "Technical Manuals". In there you will find the Deuce section. You have to read the -10 manual (operator). I recommend the 361 series because it is newest. The others are repair and maintenance manuals which you will...

    Am I Nuts?

It is your jeep! Paint it pink! Well, no..but you could. The hardcore Jeep nuts (you know, the ones that tell you your Jeep ain't period-correct because that screw here was originally not stainless) would freak, but other than that, it is a nice, original-looking Jeep. It is so close to the MV...

    ldt4651d head gasket issue

Please post a picture. A "leak" is not necessarily a problem - depending on where and how much it leaks, and when. An interim step would be to take a torque wrench and check the torque of the head bolts (engine cold). Ensure torqued to the specs for the new head gasket. I do not recall the exact...

    my first m35 purchase

Have you considered using the original bed, with a strip cut out and welded back together? Several people have done that and it looks a lot sleeker and classier than the trailer bed. I have seen one that was a shortened drop side bed, so you get the best of all worlds - even a flatbed, if you...

New to me M49A2C dressed as M35A2 cargo truck, with mistery nonturbo engine???

61sleeper, non-turbos are somewhat rarer than the turbo variants. There were turboed tanker trucks, so the big boom was not the reason. The non-turbo smokes more, and that is whey the military had to "clean them up" by getting more air in. I have never owned one, but those that do swear that...
