That disc is part of the thermostat and interlinked with the main thermostat disc. As the main thermostat disc progressively opens the main port to the radiator, the bypass disc progressively closes the bypass port to the trans cooler. This design combines the two systems under control of the...
I missed a loop... There is a 3rd line off of the thermostat block that runs to the air compressor head and back to the water pump inlet...
I also Have not come across a single cooling system diagram. If you look at the cooling system parts in the 24P manual and read thru chapter 6 in the -20...
I will see if I can find one, I don't think there is a very simple one in the manual, I think I pieced it together from several drawings and just looking at the system. It is easy enough to describe though.
Warm coolant exits the head into the thermostat block. This engine uses a bypass...
Do you have this ground strap? Runs from the starter terminal where the cable from the shunt connects and follows the path indicated and connects to the frame immediately outboard of the starter...
Its located at H57 on the schematic. TL29 is ground(has wires numbered 3015 and 3017 attached), TL28 is the power input(has wires 1441 and 54 attached to it). which normally receives 24V from relay K19 and ultimately CB79... You should be able to confirm ground with an ohmmeter once you break...
If you disconnect the line and unscrew the elbow from the block you will find a spring and a sliding core. very basic pressure reg nets you about 15PSI when idling and 60PSI at higher RPM measured at the T on the secondary filter. If your bulb is working you should be able to push fuel thru to...
Yes that is the run solenoid on the side of the governor in your pic. That big hose over the secondary fuel filter that runs down is the crankcase breather(part of the filter mount assy).
On top of the secondary fuel filter you will find a plug, you can loosen that and pump the primer until...
My driver seat looks just about like that. Found most of the material in a mouse nest behind the dash panel. At least the little bugger didnt appear to chew on any of the wiring:)
I don't know if bigger would make it any better. The PITA with the A0 schematic format is the need to shift between all the pages to follow any given circuit. I find I can do that way easier on my tablet...
MY 98 1079 is a WTEC II.
What the others said! The trans controller and VIM are missing, that truck isn’t going anywhere unless towed/trailered. Your friend bought an ass pocket full of work...
Buy another one and make this your parts truck?
Do you mean 5 pin relays? In 12V at any auto parts store... In 24V they will most likely have to be ordered, some auto parts suppliers may have them...
Since they are all doing it, it is probably in that Pressure control unit you pictured. If you remove that grey cover on the bottom you will find 3 solenoids, control, supply and deflate, usually labeled C, S and D.
C actually vents the manifold/system plumbing INTO that grey cover which is...
Last I recall AW32 hydraulic oil is 10 weight oil... AW46 is 15wt... I do not think you should use "tractor oil" or UTF(universal tractor fluid) in the air over hydraulic units... AW32 works fine in my AOP...
