well I can park mine just about anyplace I can park my H1...not many tracks are that small

Wow Len I sure hate to hear this, especially considering the trouble you went through just to make the display possible. There are some slime balls out there for sure, and I hope you can get some resolve to this situation. I know I certainly have my own brand of dealing with this kind of thing...

In my last post I said that I was looking for a matching fifth aluminum wheel for my spare tire rack on my H1. Now I am looking for a couple of Hutchinson two piece 17" rims to complete a set of five for my H1 :lol: These are much like the H1 Alpha wheels but as you can see by the pictures...

I just picked up a 2002 H1 that has the aluminum wheels on it. I'd like to get a fifth one for the spare tire rack. Anybody have takeoffs they want to sell? osmwi@bellsouth.net

As a result of the custom V100 project I am in the middle of, I will have some parts that will no longer be needed for this vehicle such as the engine cover armor, radiator cover armor, interior engine panels, engine and transmission, original wheels and tires, linkage, some seating, radiator...

Here's what the fan looks like when the grille is removed, and the exhaust will be routed to the lower left side of it . You can also see the radiator shroud on the top side.

When I bought mine, I wasn't thinking about how many different rounds it could possibly defeat...I just wanted to be able to park somewhere and not worry about door dings :lol:

Thought I'd share a couple photos of my V100 thats being repowered with a 300HP 5.9 Cummins with the Allison 6 speed. This is the unit that the custom wheels and fuel doors go with :twisted:

I used schedule 40 butt weld caps, and machined 1-1/2" off the overall height

Thanks for the input TacticalTruck, I added a 1/2" tall band that should make any rain or hose directed water go around the filler area and drain at the bottom third of the cap. rather than having the possibility of being able to wick its way in near the gasket

Thanks Moose and B3...this is the kind of stuff that my kids help out with, so they get to learn how to do things plus they get to keep most of the things they work on. One of the reasons I like stainless, years from now it pretty much looks like the day it was made :-D
