    What model is this?

Does the truck have the overdrive or direct drive transmission? Top speed will be a bit higher with the overdrive transmission, but I prefer the direct drive transmission for use and local driving. Check the data plate near the steering wheel that shows the maximum speeds in each gear. It may...

G177 Tires on a M35A2, How do you like them?

Are those the tires you got from me? I did not realize it has been 12 years since you and your father were up here.

    New M35A2 owner from CT!

Welcome and congratulations on the new acquisition. The M35A2C w/w trucks were fairly rare as most came wo/w. Is it an original truck that came out that way (check the data plate), or did the original owner add the winch? It is fine either way. I am just curious.

    5 ton owner...finally

Congratulations. The 4 color MERDC camo scheme is definitely a rare one for the M939 series trucks. I have only ever seen a handful come out with the 4 color scheme. Good luck with the truck!

    Ciao dall' Italia!!!

This looks like the unit: https://www.21tsc.army.mil/About-Us/Units/16th-Sustainment-Brigade/18th-Combat-Sustainment-Support-Battalion/ I am not sure about the other side. I bet someone else with chime in to interpret those numbers. Maybe MC stands for Maintenance Company. I am unsure.

    Ciao dall' Italia!!!

Tato, unless you already know, I'd suggest gently sanding down the tan sections on the bumper to reveal the unit the truck was with. I always enjoy learning about the history of my trucks if it can be figured out.

Welcome and good luck with your new truck!

    Hello from New York

Really nice looking truck. The headboard is wrong for an A2C (dropside truck). Ask Dave Newman or Bill Peaslee to get you the correct headboard. If they don't have one, they are around. Your truck is one of the later ones with the dual circuit brake system, which is much safer. Good luck!

All Military Vehicles banned from road in Maryland

I gave the findings a quick reading, and it appears that it only applies to vehicles 10,000 pounds and lower (the vehicle in question happens to be an M1009). Is that accurate? If that is correct, this case law may not be useful to those owning larger vehicles. If this is correct, some of the...

Current issue 900 or 1100 radials

I have seen many videos on YouTube of mainly M149A2s still in current service. Most of the trailers no longer have NDCCs on them. Instead, it appears that they have radial tires. I don't believe they are G177s, although I am aware that some trailers did use them (I actually have an M149A2...

    2 1/2 ton windshield frame to m37

The windshield glass/framework is the same. I am unsure if the A pillar is identical. I've never owned an M37. I do know that I purchased replacement windshields previously from a company that sold M37 parts exclusively. That's how I know the windshield glass/framework is the same.

    M35A2 Low gear issue

I might actually believe the hours and mileage. They seem to match the rest of the gauge cluster, as opposed to the oil pressure gauge, which looks different.

    M35A2 Low gear issue

I agree. 14,880 hours is quite a lot. Could there be a decimal missing in there...1,488.0? Or, could that miles? 14,880 miles seems like it could be right. General Kaiser, please post pics. I'd love to see your truck.

    M35A2 Low gear issue

General Kaiser, I would be curious how the truck made its way to Iran. I assume the US may have supplied some to Iran prior to the revolution. Or, was it acquired in Iraq, maybe? Anyway, I am just curious to know the history of the truck. Good luck with the repairs!

    M101A3 Tongue Jack

CUCVFAN has some repro handles (not many left the last I spoke to him about them) that he had made to the specs of the original handle. I am unsure what he wants, though. He is a good guy. Drop him a message.

PA No title to a plate in PA

If it is older...say before 1995...you can go through Maine. I just called them about a newer trailer without a title, and they said it was a no-go because it was over 3,000 pounds (unladen weight) and newer than 1995. With that said, the M105A3 is below 3,000 pounds. I believe, though, they...
