As you can see this M38A1 engine/transmission cross member has seen better days. I have a new one along with the rear engine mount on order from Willys Jeep Parts. I was hoping it would arrive so I could install it before the Sept. MV of the month ended.......Oh well!!

I have had some problems with the Jeep loading up and stalling. I ran across an article on Jeeps having this problem, and the Author recommended installing a fuel filter to prevent junk in the fuel tank, from being picked up by the fuel pump and delivered to the carburetor, where it can get in...

Chris, there is one handle that operates 2 cables, and 2 fording valves. One on the intake between the air cleaner and carburetor , and another on the exhaust valve cover breather. When the handle is pulled, it closes the fording valves, allowing the Jeep to run in water up to 37 1/2 inches...

The Postman came through today with my Fording Valve cable with handle. I also have a new ID Plate for the On Off switch on the way.
