    So How About Heim Ends?

RE: Re: RE: So How About Heim Ends? I have been reading this link but i do not understand what you are trying to do. Can anyone explain it in plain ENGLISH? I am not familiar with these technical terms... Pictures would be best.

Oil Bypass Filter for M35 and other...

I replaced the missing lights with those I purchased from Wreckerman. We removed the old windshield frame from the truck. After sanding the rust and priming the replacement frame we painted the metal OD and installed new weatherstripping on the bottom of the frame. We installed the...

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

To be honest, you can still engage the master switch with the lock in place. I have done it on my truck. If you add the door locks to the equation that would stop most people from messing with the truck. A keyed ignition switch would keep the starter from being used. I wanted to make a...

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

My intent is to make this part of a 6 lock set. The lock you see in the picture is part of a 2 lock set(keyed alike). I was able to find 3 sets of these locks at Home Depot all keyed alike=1 key will open all 6 locks. 1 lock goes on the KILL SWITCH. 2 locks go on the hood (one on each side...

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

Here is a picture of the door lock as requested. It basically replaces the existing military door handle. Very minor grinding of the end of the shaft to fit door thickness.

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

Asking nicely should not offend anyone. This way no one can say " well you didn't say I couldn't copy it" I am sure there will be people out there that might ignore my request and fabricate the lock adapter anyway. It's like " locks keep honest people honest" Did OD IRON patent his oil...

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

So what you are saying is that someone like OD Iron would not mind some else copying his oil filter adapters and selling them for less then in his store? What happened to protecting someone who put a lot of time and effort into creating something and trying to make a few bucks on his idea? I...

Oil Bypass Filter for M35 and other...

I bought a set from Wreckerman and picked them up last night from timntrucks. I also have the missing lights and D shackles. My friend and I will be installing all the missing parts today. I will have more pictures later.

Anyone interested in a lock for the KILL SWITCH ?

I wanted to take my Deuce to the store and park it there without warring that someone would drive it off or accidently start it while I was inside the store. I installed keyed door locks and fabricated a lock assembly that blocks the KILL SWITCH from being pushed in. As you all know with the...

Deuce bobbed w/ rear axle ?

What is the capacity of the frame? With one axle? Don't forget your unsupported span increases-so the weight capacity of the frame members are significantly changed!

Oil Bypass Filter for M35 and other...

Next step in the project was to wire in the heater for the bypass oil filter. After looking under the dashboard I decided not to attempt to tap into any of the existing lines. Instead i decided to run a line to the batteries. As I pulled the batteries out from under the truck I came up with a...

Deuce bobbed w/ rear axle ?

All I was trying to say is that by removing an axle from the truck it will significantly reduce the weight capacity of the vehicle. I understand that there are other important factors such as frame size, spacing of the axles, weight limit of he tires, spring capacity and other factors that make...

    Muffler for M35A2

Hay did you notice they use flappers on the top of the exhaust stacks? That's what I did on mine to keep the rain water from rusting through the bottom of the U bend in the exhaust.

Deuce bobbed w/ rear axle ?

If trailer capacity is based on the rating of the axles. Example: I had a backhoe trailer that had three 6000 LB axles and was rated 18,000 lbs GVW. Why would a truck be rated any different? It would seem if you removed one of 2 back axles you would significantly reduce the capacity in GVW of...

    Muffler for M35A2

RE: Re: RE: Muffler for M35A2 I installed a NAPA muffler on my deuce and I do not notice any performance difference. I do notice a big difference in the volume level of the deuce is half what it used to be. Now I can install a stereo system in her for the long trips. It will also be easier...
