We take the 5 because Tower Park is on hwy12 about 8mi west of the 5 on Potato Slough. If you come in on the 99 you have to navigate the Old Town of Lodi, lots of narrow streets and traffic signals. I convoyed home last Sept. with speedfellon going through Lodi to the 99, and it works for Alan...
You probably did. Going West over Donner Pass there are a couple grades where I have to down shift to 4th, one of them is just before the Cal. State Inspection stop. Coming back going East, there are about 3 grades where I have to drop down to 3rd for a short distance. It's about 30mph, so just...
I'm in Hawthorne. We could meet up in Fallon and head over Hwy 80 and Donner pass and pick up BigMike and speedfellon, and then convoy on Hwy 5 to Lodi/Tower Park. I'll be going Sept. 17-23. If you haven't been there before you'll love it. And we'll be back at Tower Park in April of 2019. ALSO...
Had a chance to ride in the wrecker with Mike at the Petaluma gathering in April. The wrecker is complete, and Mike's attention to detail is obvious. She runs smooth, sounds good, and turns heads where ever she goes.

This truck belongs to one of our members. I think it's a M931A2 tractor with an M109 box out back. Haven't had a chance to look inside, but the exterior is well done.
White Owl Parts Co. (252-522-2586) has rebuilt and good takeout LDT engines available. 1st pic is a Tooele rebuild, 2nd pic is a good takeout. Pics are from their website. They are located in North Carolina. Good folks to deal with.
I don't know anyone in Tooele at this time, but Boyce Equip. & Parts Co. in Ogden Utah have some. (1-800-748-4269) This picture is taken off their website.
Most of the LDT/LDS rebuilds were done at Tooele Army Depot in Utah. I have one in my Deuce, it's a good runner. There may still be some in Utah, save ya some shipping costs.
