You might get them off with the 1/2 but I do not believe it will put them back on with enough torque. That is if someone has removed the lug nuts and put them back on with the correct torque wrench. My Milwaukee M18 3/4" drive fuel on #4 setting or the highest it will go only put on close to...
Yea believe the Z rod somewhere I was reading 1440 ppm. We will see once I put some miles on it then send it to Blackstone. The Rotella I was running and run in almost all of the other trucks was 1242 just about what I was reading also. I see why the old timers / racers switched to our diesel...
Lets look at it this and I will also tell you why I stopped using the tow bar. First I had the TM for the tow bar but gave it to Joseph in Ga. If I remember it says tow speed 35 but it might be 25. Ok first if it is 35mph the min. on any interstate is 45mph so we are 10 mph over to start with...
Have been reading as many threads and such on the M37 and someone posted you have to soak the leather seals before use. Well there is more to it per manual. After 30 minutes of soaking in a thin oil we must "work" the leather by rolling it with a smooth bar. We I can only guess "work" it but...
Ok do not think the C1&C3 are the best shop manual for our trucks. Has some stuff that carries over but I am looking it a different Dodge shop manual that would cover the smaller trucks. Yea I found & went over to G741 sight and lots of good people there to. I posted I was looking for a battery...
Oil and filter. When I got it the boy said to use Rotella 15/ 40 and I think that is to heavy and really not the right oil. I decided to go with Amsoil synthetic Z rod 10W30 that has high zinc. Yea it cost more but with 10K into this truck as me if I worry about it. Having fun driving it around...
Do what you will but you do not tie off the wheel on a flat tow. I have recovered 20 trucks bigger than a Deuce and never tie off the wheel. Just think about it for a while you will see the steering wheel needs to turn when the tires do. How many other post said they do not tie off the steering...
No not a TM. I ordered from amazon Green cover Dodge job related trucks shop manual C1 series all series. I will try and take a pic of it as soon as my battery charges. I also got a CD that covers C1 & C3 and I will see what that has in it.
I do not drive my Deuce very far. One thing the box seat might be bad for is you storing anything like heavy tools or any thing that will kill you. I do not carry anything in the cab that could hurt me if I some how flip the truck. The loose stuff in the cab can hurt / kill you.
No worries I am just going through the learning curve of another model truck. I knew it need oil and I never saw a post about it so far. I am up to page 60 on the M37 forums and reading as much as I can. I like the new shop manual better than the TM's but they have there worth to. When I got...
Before locking steering and we lift towed from the rear then we tie the steering wheel. Keep your tow bar short and as for the chains. Make a hard right turn and tighten one chain. Make a hard left turn and tighten the other chain till pretty tight but never bind up. You do not tie the...
Mk48 wheels fit the drums on those bigger drums. I did not like cutting into the drum to make other wheels fit. I did it but switched the drums out when I got the correct wheels.
As Wess said if they do not self adjust then good cleaning. All parts including the Actuator ( adjusting bolt sleeve ) and the guide pawl assembly. I never look into buying parts but I bet if you were care full getting the seal for adjustment plunger off you could reuse it.
Installed new mechanical fuel pump. Installed new left front wheel cylinder and brakes. Put on drum and wheel adjusted brakes. Out of all that the hardest was the dang cab to hood welting. Had to use an sharp point to make sure I was right on top of the holes in the cab to hammer in the nail...
