Have read those quite a few times, started in Jr High. Even read Farmer Giles of Ham......read different author C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and others of that series multiple times...

One aircraft? Seems like a VERY tempting target for SAM or Air to Air missiles! Terrible loss of life and material!! Hard to protect that asset. Great for speed, but would have to stay out of "harms way"....................my two cents

Chappy,
I didn't have train tracks around when young. First real experience? Train ride to Florida for family funeral with my Mom. Not a lot of fun. Second? Rail-head at Ft. Hood............again, not much fun.
I appreciate ALL the stories................. no one EVER said adventure...
Wonder if it was a "company life" he about surrendered....
Train ALWAYS has precedence.......in those collisions, no one "wins"....
Great thread and constant safety reminder.....

Chains would help. They have open differentials. Lockers are an option that is available. I wouldn't use stock tires unless great tread and were aired down, without chains. No stock power steering. Would suggest weight in the bed. Bobbed would improve turn radius, loose a drive axle...
Thanks, but no thanks.....
Got enough headaches. Don't need to order more. Talk is cheap. Put up or shut-up is a saying I'm used to.
Hope ya get the mess squared away. Spent time at Hood myself. "First Team"..................
