I've seen the new alternative on FB.
It appears to be much improved over that first guy's design (that <insert_points_of_compass_flippers> later copied and sells).
By far the best solution I've seen yet (beyond the A1R designed that completely removed the problem...hey, I've never had an...
Yep.
I tapped 12v at the PDC, ran a wire (in a plastic loom) thru the forward most body panel Then I added a 6-gang fuse block screwed onto the firewall on the driver side behind the kick panel. Handy for future additions, but the main goal was to fuse protect the Bluefire...
Do you have the TM?
iirc it has some trouble shooting tips per code. But I'm not at home at the moment to look it up.
18 is the ambient temp sensor I think
There's also an aluminum version of the plate.
I came really close to buying one once. But I figured it would still take damage and wasn't nearly as easy to repair.
I'd love to make a steel one someday. I think bolting up the steel version would somewhat strengthen the bumper as...
My 2 cents.....
Mine is an A1R with the new bumper. The original had been snagged on something while backing up (as is so often the case) but a NOS A1R bumper was in the back of the truck. And I've owned A0 trucks as well, and pulled a bumper on one of those as well...
Been there, done that.
I never fully understood why some chicks would be with guys 30 years older than them.
Daddy issues keep bikers young.....
January road trip thru the Texas Hill Country back in '09. Riding season? Friggin' posers have "riding seasons".
First off, address those loose mirrors, That's sorta a safety issue..
As far as camera systems, there are some good kits out there.
I've owned a few of the really cheap Chinese b/u camera kits and (for the obvious reasons) they never seemed to hold up. The displays are the usual...
We used these back in the 80's when surfing/windsurfing/snow skiing.
I gave my last one away to some locals in Durango after a trip decades ago and never could find them again. I looked for them back in 2000 when I was doing some cross-country rides on the Harley. And again in 2015 when...
There's a guy who sells custom brackets. I saw a post in one of the LMTV FB groups.
Very slick design, but not cheap (like $1200 or something). Just for the bracket.
But several people have converted to a single 24v al w/a step down converter for the 12v stuff. It's not a...
Mine is the later small window shelter, and it has the 1/2" looking block of rubber.
Just looking at things, it would appear the shelter has only about 1/4" of space between the subframe and truck frame. I think that distance is about the max the shelter is raised (and could...
