It is not speculation. I have worked on multiple of their trucks, seen it in person, and got the information from the horses mouths so to speak. They drill out the check valve set screws and weld up the hole. All you have to do is look at their rams to see the weld on the side.
Dana made the system. I'm referring to the factory CTIS module. I personally have no beef with them.
The system is simple, yet seems complex to the uninitiated. The lack of complexity and sensors means it is incumbent upon the owner to understand the system and be able to recognize what the...
And this is the flavor of 24v unit used by the military for the A1P2 armored cab. It can be ordered down to 0.14 GPM:

Acela uses something similar, but specifically wanted it faster, and Quade Sheehan clued them...
Acela deletes the check valves in the rams leaving the system un-metered in the case of a hose failure. Let me say that another way - DAVE (Acela's owner) doesn't give a fast flying fart if one of his trucks crushes someone's skull between the tire and the step. And no that's not fanciful...
Plug in a factory Dana controller, open up the Dana diagnostics software, and find out if the system actually works. You may have an issue with the wiring or the solenoids in the PCU.
And this is WHY I don't bother with that "solution" - it's unfinished. Has no self-diagnostic capability, and...
You have a NATO receptacle? The center is +24v and the outside is ground. That's two of the three..... ought to be obvious which one is the final +12v cable.
You still have the polarity protection? You can continuity test the cables from the 12v batt and 24v batt studs and once again the last...
Yes. With ECO hubs. Stock gearing. He's getting 8.5 to 10.5 mpg depending on driving.
Same thing I'm running on my 2008 M1079A1R - I'm at 21,500 lbs on my truck and then towing my M1082 I'm around 30k with empty trailer. No issues. Also running the 370 / 930 fuel map.
Usually 3rd gear or Reverse only for such limp mode transmission - which are fast going away if they aren't already gone in the modern stuff. Not the case with the Allison anyhow and it's lack of ANY mechanical linkage. If there's no button pad and no ECM it won't unlock the crank circuit and if...
The 7.3 is related to the 3126 in sharing the same jointly designed high pressure fuel system.
It's a bit wider and a V8 so would have to see if it will easily fit down in-between the frame rails
Air compressor might be interesting. I assume it would be belt driven? Idk.
Being a military...
The one piece was superceded due to cracking and warping. The 3 piece is the standard now and used on the 3126 and C7 to this day.
While you're in there get a 3126 Borg Warner S300 turbo and the 280 HP fuel pump and adjust the rack to the high output settings. Get rid of that discontinued...

Yes the dual latching disconnect relay is a POS. I put a brand new Busmann revised edition in my truck and it got stuck recently trying to go from the off to the on state. I...
Yep. Have to turn the lights on. All military vehicle start out in "light discipline" mode. You don't even get blackout drive unless you select it. On the pushbutton switch you press any button to wake it up and then your desired mode and enter.
If you have service drive turned on and they...
You don't HAVE to run a business that way. That's a choice to put profit over your customers. There's an old saying - "you can sheer a sheep many times but you can skin it only once." - they choose to not invest in repeat business. They get people on the promise of a "refurbished" truck and I've...
Pressure Protection Valve. It's a little spring loaded diaphragm valve off the side of the wet tank - between the tank and the dryer. It has what looks like a bolt sticking out of the top of it - that's for adjusting the pressure that it withholds from it's downstream port. Usually about 80 to...
One of my friends had KING install these. This is technically an A1R though it is one of the first 1900 trucks that did not yet have the coil over. So shock mounted reservoir should work for just fine all around.
He was quoted $700 (ish) per corner for a single set for his own truck. Full stop. No discussion of a group buy till I suggested it and he had an additional conversation with them. Any number of additional units will help to reduce the cost of the adapter hardware required and also a larger sale...
Yeah would want front and rear. If I ever figure out the active suspension tricks I'm sure someone will buy them off me especially if they can be rebuilt 👌
Just run a line from the PPV straight to the leveling valve. It just needs to only get air when the wet tank is safely above the pressure protection valve and the leveling valve does the rest for you.
