This site is so great!
Have I mentioned how much I love the Steel Soldiers Website and how much I appreciate the great job that the Administrators and Moderators do, so that I have a place that nurtures my Green Addiction? I do, I really do.
Now that I have you all buttered up...

Doghead,
Before you ask a question, it might be worth doing a search first. :)

Way to go NM Smitty.[thumbzup]
Thanx for spear heading this event.
Looks like a great local for an MV outing.
Wish I was closer. 24hr civy vehicle drive each way.
Heck I wish I was closer to the folks in WA State.
This past weekend I brought my M923 to participate in the Benton City Daze Parade. Then, for after the parade, a member of the group convinced the city to let us set our own little MV car show / static display in the local Park & Ride parking lot.
This same batch has been doing parades & car...

Thanx for taking the T-shirt task on Wreckerman
Peter,
I think I read 500 lbs for weight.
I am no the MV purist, but I do know some. So those mods would be OK, I am not planning on paddling it across lakes at this time. Though putting a lunette ring back on would have to be done before pulling it with the Champ.
Tony
Is there someone in the Monroe, WA area that might want to check out a M416 trailer (pic 2) for me?
Jeep/ Small M416 Military Trailer
I am looking to put a light, off road trailer behind my Austin Champ for trail riding.
The trailer that would have been period correct for the Champ is a...
Kool!
That makes me feel a little less hopeless.
Now I can honestly tell folks that 'I have seen some DUKWs that were a bit more of a project than the one I got a hold of."
Late post.
Met Jame on Friday, Aug 10th at 14:30 in Vantage, WA.
Here are some of the worst cell phone photos, but they are at least a record of the trip.
Safe travels.
I know it is a couple days late.
But I met Jamie in Vantage, WA on Friday Aug. 10th around 14:30 and loaded your cargo on board his deuce.
Very nice truck. Looked like it had all the bells and whistlers.
Jamie seemed a little bit heat sick. It was a hot dry day in the luxury of a M35A2.
So we...
Ferry Ride?
Can't you just plop it in the water, hop on top, and paddle it over to Lopez Island?
Heck, add a periscope and an outboard and make your own submarine.
That tank looks almost like Aaron's avatar.
But Beer would be cool too.
Rodger the truck day idea Matt! I need to come up and scope out Garfield as well.
I need to hit up the semi-junk yard in Spokane to get a turbo setup for the 5 tons.
So 'cowboy up' pansy wet siders,
Let us see if your posteriors can handle more than an hour in the driver's...
Y'all, could :driver:drive over and check out the dry side of the state. ( I need someone to pump the brakes on 12 trucks while I bleed the wheel cylinders)
I have ~ 5 acres to park/camp on.......
Or we could converge on Josh's Property near Goldendale, semi-centrally located....
Update:
Angus and I were not able to meet up around the PNW rally.
So your parts are still with me back in the Kennewick.
I will try to meet up with Feezy when he passes thru Eastern WA, Aug 10th, on his trip to the Dakota's...
Feezy,
So...
Aug. 10th in Ritzville sounds good for me.
I need at...
Arron and Amber thanx for making it another great event, and all the others behind the scenes and good friends.
Dale thanx for putting all the effort into the production of those awesome shirts.
Are there going to be any for sale in the classifieds for the folks outside our area that might...
I would think it must have worked well on a 5ton as the seortm/bat wing vans had them as part of their standard kit. On the roof just in from where the wings hinge there are the guy wire attachment points.
I remeber seeing a JA Tonka picture of a, ithink, WWII van with one installed at a...
