I am sure this has been hammered more than a century old anvil
but when I ask I get discrepant views, does anyone know the official setting...?
also what is the trick with pressing the brake pedal as you rev up the engine (I herd of this but don't know the specifics)
So.... I have both of my tail lights that do not come on, they have LED bulbs, the other lights (turn and stop) have standard bulbs they work just fine. So I turn on the lights in my parking lot and nothing, some times I have gotten out of the truck at a red light and both of my lights were on...
The problem is that going at a steady speed, say…. 30 mph without changing the pressure applied on the gas pedal, all of a sudden the truck (1151) behaves like if I floored the pedal, it even downshifts on it’s own and takes off, and if I keep the same pressure on the pedal, it reaches about 50...
this is my situation by the area where you'd normally see a tachometer and I would like to install one but don't know if the canon connector dangling in the picture is what I need since most of the pictures for tachometer I have seen on eBay have 5 wires or so, can anyone chime in...?

I found what looks to be a "Gray" Anderson (120 or 175 A) connector tucked under the front passenger seat (but accessible only from rear passenger seat)
so I measured if there was any voltage across the pins and I measured 24.15VDC, (no switches on) then I measured the battery voltage...
I am new at this so I'll try to explain the best I can (hopefully clearly enough):
Sometimes at the traffic light or EVEN IN REVERSE I feel the truck is in a weird gear because the engine gets bugged down to the point of sometime staling, ( I ride in "H") if I let go of the brake I feel it...
