I swapped in a 1972 454 last night and I am clue less on how the hydro boost system works on my cucv. I know that I can take my pulley off and place it onto the 454 pulley bracket but I was wondering if there is any way that I can cheat that bye using the 454 original power steering pump but...
I was wondering if anyone knows how to hook up the mechanical linkage for the clutch pedal on an sm465. Should the truck already have wholes drilled or no because it would have been a hydrolic clutch (it is a 1987). How difficult is it to hook up the pedal assembly? I'm getting all the parts...
So I have an m1028 that's not starting after I replaced the head gasket. I'm getting fuel at the injector lines so I'm kinda stumped on why it won't start. Could it possibly be the glow plugs? The relay is clicking and I'm getting power to them so I don't see why else it wouldn't start.
So I'm starting to get tired of freezeing in my truck. I just blew out my heater core so I'm hoping that helps a bit. Anyone have suggestions on in cab heaters. I thought about looking into buying an Arctic cab heater but I can't seem to find any. Any other suggestions?
I have removed everything off of my head. I have been beating on it trying to get it to pop off. Is there any bolts holding the head down other than the 17 bolts. I see two other smaller bolts that are about 6 in below the surface of the head do those have to be removed as well?
I wa wondering what the best trailer Canadate for a m1028 trailer bed conversion would be. Iv been hearing a lot about the m101a2 but would a m1101 or m1102 work as well?
So I have a 1987 m1028 and I noticed my tail lights both brake and running lights where not working along with my turn signals and running lights and my dash lights. I already cleaned a ground for my dash lights but that did nothing. I thought I read that the turn signal switch runs power to...
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get kingpin studs that are 1/2 in 20 tpi and 5 in long. I am useing regular hex bolts right now but want to get ones with the right size center so there isn't play in the kingpin.
Broke down on the side of the road King pin bolts snapped gonna try to get her back on the road from the side of the road repAir. Anyone know where I can get these bolts?
Are there any tricks to wireing wires up a steering column all the plastic is in the way do I need to take the hole thing apart? These are the wires for a turn signal switch off a 1987 m1028.
I know not many people are gonna like this idea but I'm thinking about takeing a 2 inch square tube and welding it to the bottom of my bumper to substitute a trailer hitch. I figure these bumpers are plenty strong for the 17 ft boat I'm towing. Any thoughts?
I bought a pair of 37 in military tires online. Went to get them balanced because I had really bad death wobble and two of them where off 40 grams. My question is would bob's work for something this far off? Also how many bb's would I use.
Hi I'm replacing a caliper on my m1028. Anyone know any tricks for getting the spring back in? I know it goes under the bracket but I'm havering trouble getting it to go on any advice would be helpful thanks.
Hi I was wondering what the pros/cons are on useing a manual glow plug system with a old ford relay or just a switch that goes to your original glow plug relay. I understand one is simpler than the other but is there any other pros or cons.
