get yourself a white liquid paint marker.... clean the face of your hub with a toothbrush. go over all the indented lettering with the paint marker and then lightly wipe off the surface of the hub with a paper towel. the paint will stay in the stamped lettering and make it easier to read.
ok...here goes nuthin. from the perspective ofa 30+ year toolmaker / machinist. Both hubs are put together pretty well. ouversson weighs 9.5 pounds, Boyce weighs 9 pounds. both castings are solid but, theouversson is a little heavier. both operate smoothly once installed, with the ouversson...
what all is involved in installing a lockout on the intermediate axle? obviously a double spline axle and a hub. is it as simple as swapping those out with the oem axle?

I've been searching through threads but, havent found anything as of yet, so... has anyone ever put a lockout on the int or rear axle to help with steering and traction?
It looks like the tube is strong enough but, will it put too much stress on the steering box seal and make it start to leak? god knows we don't need to ADD to our leak issues LOL
I've read a hundred threads on chubby and tall guys like me. I already plan on changing the steering wheel to the 18" from an A3. I also understand that the steering tube is a one piece, straight shot into the steering box but, has anyone ever taken the mounting block off of the dash, cut the...
