I Checked the wiring nothin obvious. I ordered two rebuild kits for the alternators. Two new batterys and a gear reduction hillbilly wizard starter and bracket. Im gonna rebuild both the 27si and the non isolated geound gm alternators I have on there and see how she does.

Is there a company that sells rebuild kits still for these altos?

Interesting. My gen2 light faintly flickers when the lights are on. If i recall i tested between leads on the harnes plug of the voltmeter. A blackwire that did not go directly to the ground comb and a maroon wire? I had 24 volts between the lugs also. I need to pull the dash and cluster anyway...

Took all day. But went with the ac delcos. One broken plug took three hours to finally extract thru the injector bore. I have read the back and forth about the delcos. Im hoping it works for me with a factory setup. Ill let yous know how it goes.
