    Keyed Switch

Someone designed a mechanical keyed switch which adapts to the existing starter switch. Its supposed to retain the reliability of the OEM switch while still utilizing a key. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a link, but I remember seeing it on a Facebook group. Otherwise, just go with a hidden...

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Got about 1000 pounds of play sand and mulch, amazing how the ECV springs work when there is actually some weight on them!

    Seat belts

The regular 3 point type seatbelts are availalble at MAC motors for cheap. Whatever you buy, dont get aftermarket chinese crap.

    Universal X door/Soft Door Stryker

    Gunner seat belt removal

You want to remove the whole plate, although if I remember correctly there *might* be one allen head screw underneath the seatbelt retractor. -Use lots of penetrating oil -Use a quality allen bit on a rachet wrench for more leverage -Clean the head of the allen screws to ensure that your allen...

CO Insuring HMMWV NEWER than 20 years

Its on a classic vehicle plan, no restrictions other than total annual mileage which i think is around 5000 but is not checked or verified in any way.

    options for unarmored body holes

This reinforces my decision to just use hex bolts 🤣

    options for unarmored body holes

I used 1/2" hex bolts and washers for the through holes, and 3/8" bolts for the hinge holes. Use quality grade 8 fasteners and antiseize for anything that goes in a threaded hole in case you ever want to be able to remove it.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

More progress on the 50. Got the grips installed, charging handle installed, and a fresh coat of paint. Next step is to make a reproduction barrel. Right now I have a real barrel which probably weighs 40 pounds. It makes me nervous driving around with that heavy barrel supported by 3D printing...

    Glow Plug Replacement

Can you please tell us which vendor gave you 10mm glow plugs so that we can avoid them?

What is the max amperage consumption on ECV with lights and A/C on?

After posting that I was thinking the same thing, thanks for clarifying.

Good to hear from you Action. Dont be a stranger.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Haha 🤣 Side panels are aluminum, barrel is real, the T&E and pintle are real. Everything else is 3D printed plastic. The side plates are made substantially different than a real gun, so that they cannot be assembled with real M2HB parts and make a functional gun. I'm considering selling these...

Hmm, what about the 3.5 ton scissor jack, have you had issues with that? Asking because I just bought one.
