Check your bulbs first. I've seen where a dual filament bulb has one filament burn out onto the other filament and do some weird stuff. Also try isolating different parts of the circuit to try to pinpoint the problem to one specific area. Example unplug rear tail light harness and see if...
BJ's Offroad is good. They do have some M715 stuff but its hard to find on their website. I know they started carrying 4.56 gear sets and bearings for 715 axles for a fairly reasonable price.
I just recently swapped my pioneer tool trailer body onto a M116a2 gen trailer, same dimensions. First I tried to swap the surge brakes/axle onto the pioneer tool trailer frame but all the bolt holes wouldn't line up. It was due to the old frame being slightly tweaked, not because it was...
I don't think the WC63 diffs would fit in your axle housings. They might though, you would need to check. You might have to swap the whole axle. Midwest Military or VPW would probably know. I will be down in Sac next Sat if you are interested in them send me a PM.
I would say put a modern drivetrain in it and enjoy it. It looks like you rescued it from the scrap yard and it has already been pretty hacked. I have some WC63 axles if you want but to get them disc braked and regeared is a small fortune.

If you have a title from another state you shold be ok. You won't have to have it inspected or anything, just paperwork. Of course that all depends on who you get at DMV. Good luck
I forget what NDT(No **** Traction) stands for but if you are driving in snow, ice, slush, wet pavement alot I would get some different tires. If nothing else get your NDT's siped until you have money for different tires. If you are in snow all the time put chains on and leave them on until...
Appears to be a set screw of some type. I don't know where it would go for sure but I would suspect the shift forks where the rails go thru. Does the shifter feel tight in all the gears? You would have to pull the top cover to access. The other option might be some retainer of some type deep in...
