So I was looking at the Allison manual for the MT654 and unless I'm missing something it looks like SAE 40w oil is approved for the tranny if the ambient temp is 50° F or higher. Has anyone done this?

Just picked up a new 5 ton last weekend. Gave it a 320 mile shake down getting it home with minimal issues. First up is replacing a couple broken gauges and a full fluid and filters change, then a little body work to stop some minor cancer.
