I have a wedge brake axle set up from a 939 series rear drive.
also have a front drive axle set up off same series.
the rear set up has central inflation.
the front does not.
the drums are different betwen the two set ups. any clue if the front backing plates will bolt up to an old style...
I may need to gut a 5 ton front axle housing. I wonder how much the drop in chunk adds to the strenth of the housing?
I will prob need to pull the chunk and cover the hole with a plate.
the last thing i want is to fold the front axle up while going down the road!

We were invited to participate in Veterans Night at the Onaway Speedway tonight! I think we had half the folks from the stands out there on the track looking at our old junk.

we had a blast! nothing like two Deuces and a 5 ton racing around a 1/4...
It was a short road trip for myself but some of the guys had to travel 3-4 hrs.
the event was a combined meeting day for the GLMVPA and MMMT.
VVA Chapter 274 allowed us to use their facility.
I will be using a tru hitch 250.
looking for any info on the operation of this unit.
I have no pics of this yet cause it is not in my hands yet.
I have used the civy versions of these before but thought any helpfull info as to the operation and what not would be good.

it was quite an interesting trip as the GWRRA had their midnight ride this
morning! they had a very large crowd of bikes!
is there a civy replacement for the output shaft seal on the Deuce transmission?
I wouldnt mind ordering from a surplus dealer but i really need to use this truck and didnt want to wait a week to get the seal.
I just spent 1/2 hour using the search and came up with nothing that helps me.
