SS- So I pulled the TM , and have the wiring info.
Now, how do I swap the gear tooth? My original is 12 teeth, while new starter is 11 teeth and a much larger gear.
to add on ,understand you can swap the head and such, but the shaft on the new starter is larger also.
SS - Howdy, I am still working my starter problem and now swapping it out for a new one. I have the old style in the truck and purchased a new style, one with bell shape solenoid on top.
my question is where do the two small wires go on the new style? I’m not seeing the same Type of connection...

Had son helping me. Good ole, pump the brakes then hold, and bleed.
never had a problem on other vehicles doing brake jobs. But since this also has an air pack thought maybe I’m missing something in the procedure of this beast.
Well a new twist.
re-bled the system. Started at air pack, lots of air. Got that out
went to rear paswenger lots of air, got that out.
hit the rest. No air and fluid coming out.
No pressure at all.
went to rear passenger, lots of clean fluid coming out steady, no air.
went to air pack...
SS - Been experience some ongoing brake challenges.
When first got the truck brakes worked good.
I added a remote brake reservoir so I could monitor the fluid.
Well when apply brakes I noticed the fluid in reservoir would bubble and want to blow out.
As I drive more it started to get worse...
SS - Hi, just installed BM remote brake reservoir. When applying brake lots of bubbles come up to it and push a lot of fluid out.
Any thoughts?

Ok, so Deuce is setup for 10k lbs, hmmm seems low for a military vehicle, but understand it’s older and had a purpose probably for troop hauling and resupply of light duty things.
I will keep it as is, for light duty and fun
Ok, thanks. I have seen my same Excavator pulled by single axle small dump trucks. Figured it may be close in a weight comparison balance. Again only on pretty flat ground around town at low speeds 45mph or lower. Just seeing if I could use the deuce for some work here and there, not daily.
Was looking if anyone is towing around their equipment with Deuces? I have a 28k lbs excavator and just checking on mostly flat ground around town if the deuce LDT engine can handle this or not?
Just purchased the deuce. Drive it daily, clean truck, was just gone through completely about 5 years ago. Only issues is two wheel cylinders now leaking, only drive on my land right now. Also want to add air assist steering and new fiberglass top. Have prior taken it around town and small trips...

In theory an in-line single proportional or safety valve on each side of the tee 30 to isolate front and rear brakes, I would suspect could add a good safety benefit if pressure is lost, would allow at least to stop as it should close the valve under a pressure drop scenario.

But at that 30 tee, could there not be a splitter valve or some sort of that would close either side in an event of a brake cylinder fail? That seems the cheapest and easiest route. If there is such a thing out there it would allow then...
