    M1078 Transmission issue/question

Hello all... I have a 1998 M1078 that seems to be having a transmission issue. Can someone please let me know what transmission I have, either WTECII or WTECIII? Its putting out a code 5517, and from what I can tell, its most likely a trans oil temp issue, too cold. I'll be changing the fluid...

Truck is a 2015 M1123 That was a ton of help my friend. I just woke up, getting my coffee, and I'll go thru that attachment you sent me. I was thinking a plug and play original init would be best, but I'm open to anything. I just need to get this vehicle working sooner than later. I have an...

M1123 Plug under rear L/H seat?

So it does look like the TCM. Is there a specific TCM for a 2015 M1123? I found the info in a manual of what it is, just not the part number.

So my M1123 is in process of getting running and back together, and Ive searched quite a bit thru the manuals, but can't seem to figure out what the large canon plug under the L/H back seat is. The canon plug is there....but nothing else. Please let me know if you know what it is. Thank you!

    M1123 Gauge Cluster question

So I found a photo online of the backside of an electronic speedo. It's starting to make a little sense now. There is only a cannon plug connection on the speedo, so the other splitters must be for lighting t'd into the other plugs? Grounds are easy. My confusion is...why is there 3 splitters?

    M1123 Gauge Cluster question

So it looks like this is the speedo harness because the cannon plug is correct. There are many other grounds, plugs etc, with the numbers above that I can not find in any TM. Is there another harness from the electronic speedometer to this one?

    M1123 Gauge Cluster question

Thank for the reply. I see all of those numbers in the diagram, but they are notated as different letters after the numbers. That harness is right next to this one. The harness that I am trying to figure out, has all of the letters and numbers that I mentioned above, and is aluminum shielded...

    M1123 Gauge Cluster question

So Ive looked at every diagram I found in that TM and others, but can not seem to find the shielded harness that is disconnected behind the gauge cluster. Various numbers on the harness are 40V, 40U, 27U, 27V, 27W, and 58M. Am I just blind with the prints, or does anyone know what harness this...

    M1123 Gauge Cluster question

Hello all. The information I am looking for is most likely in the TM's section, but I'm lost as to where. I have a 2016 M1123 that is missing the gauge cluster. I found a page from a manual that shows the plug numbers and where they go, but there is another thicker shielded cable with many...

LMTV M1078 Transmission oil confusion...please help!

I have the manual, and have followed it. The manual does not say the quantity within the transfer case. The dipstick showed full, but after draining all of the oil from all locations, I only had about 5 gallons. This is only about half of what it should have. The rear driveshaft is missing, but...

LMTV M1078 Transmission oil confusion...please help!

Thanks. I removed the transfer case first and was surprised at the limited amount of oil that drained. Being such a big cavity and much lower, I assumed more would drain. The video showed a full 5 gallon pail almost filed in real time.

LMTV M1078 Transmission oil confusion...please help!

Thanks Kieth! All the plugs in mine are installed. The video I watched, clearly showed removing the transfer case bottom plug, and many gallons draining.

LMTV M1078 Transmission oil confusion...please help!

That sounds logical, but it is the first plug to remove, and there is only one, at the lowest point bottom of the transfer case.

LMTV M1078 Transmission oil confusion...please help!

So I just received my M1078 from a DRMO in Hawaii, and all of the vehicles they sell are completely drained of fluid. I flew out there and temporarily got all the fluid up for shipment. My question is, Ive read the procedure to change the fluids, and even watched an informative video. The...
