    M1009 Cold Starting Tips

    For less than $40 go to NAPA and get a block heater. Just knock out a freeze plug and install the unit. A plus is you will always have instant heat . The instructions say to put the heater in the drivers side front, however that is where the moter mount is so we used the center plug.

    My fire Dept. has two MEP-005As with the square filters. We removed the paper from the metal box it is in (the paper is glued in so throw it in a fire will help) then you have to tack weld the corners back. Then NAPA has a paper filter with a foam pre filter attatched to it that we use. It fits...
