would you consider sharing which cable(s) are needed to connect to each major device and what and where to download the reprogram or system files please?
@aw113sgte - Being a family of four, are you considering changing or modifying the cab? Could you adjust the seats and seat belts to fit all four of you with the current cab? what is the usable interior cab width, side to side?
great job on your build!! how did you check your hub temps? have yo considered using your camper rear door as a deck? add temperary supports on the bottom when in use?
PS If you're ever thinking whether people will enjoy and value what you post and share, I DO and would love to see and hear more! please never hesitate to flood this or any new thread with any information you have, thoughts, photos, videos, ideas, etc....
Absolutely!! That is my goal as well. However for me, I’d like my living quarters to be removeable. Not sure that will work out for me though. If not. I may have to get my non cdl class E. If you look at semi trucks that were converted, usually, the truck it’s self were not physically...
I am sure like anything, there's a million variables but I've read people suggesting Army are the quickest (days/weeks) while the Navy/Marines tend to take much longer.
If you do not mind me asking, will you title the MTVR as a recreational vehicle (RV), not an offroad vehicle? how did you title your FMTV?
Am I crazy trying to troubleshoot mine and drive it home or should play it safe and have it hauled? It's 200 miles away.
congrats happy to hear that! amazing to hear you bought it at 1/3 the cost. what are your plans with the FMTV? With your EUC being approved so quickly, have you previously had one approved?
Thanks for confirming. I bought a non runner so I’m trying to learn anything I can prior to my truck getting released as I’m still trying to determine if I’ll have it hauled to me or risk me driving the 209 miles there to see what I’ve signed up for.
What you considering using or building as your new camper box? 20' shipping container? 12, 14, or 16 feet dry storage box? I havent seen these trucks in person yet but I believe even an 8 feet box would put it over height. I've read the bed is~67" high which would only leave 95” or 7’11’...
maybe mine will be approved soon as well. mine was submitted to them the day before yours. does yours run? if it does not, how did they tow it on at pickup?
Hello. Thank you very much for letting me know. Can the CTIS be turned off? I assumed limp mode had to be selected. I'd like to hear more about your offer to sell a spare or spares please. Feel free to PM me. Thank you.
Congrats on your purchase and getting it running so quickly. I apologize as I cannot answer your questions. I also purchased a non runner. Sounds like your EUC took four months to clear? What issues did you resolve to get yours running?
that is an excellent question and point! I had not thought of that yet. maybe a long enough ramp or piece of wood and roll them on? find a hill or curb that will reduce the angle and height.
