Found a better solution. Going to order some 5x5x 1/4 square tubing to spread out the spring spacing so i can get a better ratio on the new axel. Also going with an axel with electric brakes.

Newbie here. Just picked up a M103-a3 generator trailer. Empty. Currently looking for replacement civi axel. Found a place local that will make one. 3500# 65” hub face and 40” spring centers. Said it was outside the manufacturer recommended. But they will weld it. Has anyone here done a set up...
