    Door sag

In the early 1970’s I did a lot of service work at Pontiac Motors. I used to love watching the guys at the end of the line “adjusting” the bodies. Their main tool was a 2 X 4 and a rag. They would look the car over and pry doors, hoods and trunk lids to make them fit right. With all the...

    M934 motorhome conversion

Here are some close up photos. I framed the opening with 1 x 2 oak. The doors were salvaged from a cabinet I bought by mistake. The cabinets I used are oak kitchen cabinets. Behind the door on the right is my breaker/ fuse panel and solar controller. The breaker panel came from the donor...

    Running mep002/003 on sea foam

Me too. I have a friend in the landscape business. He uses Sea Foam instead of Sta Bul. He swears by it. All of his small engines start right up after being stored all winter. I wish it was available in one gallon cans.

    5 ton crew build

I love what you’re doing. I would settle for adding 6 inches to my cab. I squeezed air ride seats in mine. They fit but there is very little clearance behind the seats. Can anyone explain to me why these cabs are so small?

    M934 motorhome conversion

I took mine on my third MVPA convoy this year. I lived in it from September 25 until November 3. I removed the expansible panels and sealed up the side walls. This way I don’t have to roll out the sides to use it. Setting up camp is parking the truck and putting out the ladder. If I’m in a camp...

    LED replacement no flashing

Thanks for the reminder that testing a device with a known power source can save a lot of time and money. This symptom had me going. I don’t know if I would have thought to remove the lights and simply connect them to the battery to see if they were the cause. Well done! the other thing I am...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I had that problem some years ago. I took the fuel shut off solenoid apart and cleaned it. A speck of dirt will cause them to stick open. Once it was cleaned, it’s been working fine. While I was having that problem I got tired of opening the hood to reset the manual shut off. I installed a...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Getting ready for the Jefferson Highway Convoy in October. Painted the exterior, installed AC in the cab, re-worked the generator fuel system, still on the “to do list”: replace stereo speakers in the cab, stencils, oil change and other misc. maintenance stuff.
