    LMTV Group 31 Battery mod?

Not a direct answer to your question but I find a targeted Google search far more effective than the forum search. All you have to do is include `site:steelsoldiers.com` in your query. I also usually add "FMTV" to cut down on the CUCV and HMMV results :) `site:steelsoldiers.com FMTV group 31`...

    Transmission Access

If the clearance needed will be just a few inches, maybe consider a raised floor just in that front section. It's pretty common to see, gives you some extra space for storage or infrastructure, and easier to work around than an awkward hump in the center.

    Little Bear Build

This are my favorite winch treatments I’ve found. Unfortunately I don’t have details.

    Engine Mount Replacement

I should also say, a stout piece of pipe or 80/20 may work even better because you can get it up into the bracket pocket and still have room to move the big bolt into place. Less things to go wrong.

    Engine Mount Replacement

I just tackled this on my A1R in my driveway with just a floor jack, a short length of 2x4, and a 4x4 block. While not the easiest way to do it, it is possible (with some tricks!) so maybe this will be helpful. Especially for someone doing a field repair. Just be prepared for yoga positions and...

    M1088 camper conversion

I appreciate the confirmation! I'm tentatively planning cutting above the roof seam to add height with some sheet metal work to make it look "factory". Also considering double stacking the PSD intakes on one side to buy a little more width.

    M1088 camper conversion

Hey Chris, fellow PDX overlanding DIY nerd here and starting my LMTV build (1078 A1R) in a couple weeks! I’ve been thinking a lot about the cab pass through. I’m 6’4” and we have two big dogs. I have some ideas to be able to go a little bigger than the 2’ square I’ve seen most folks do. How...
