    Jerry cans

While that is true, I was referring to the USGI issue cans with the large center mounted cam lock lids. There is, of course, an exception for the small offset cam locks issued by the USMC. The off shore small cam lock cans are prolific here also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Jerry cans

I have one of each on mine. The screw top lids are for fuel, the other is for water. Look on the bottom of the screw type for the date stamp, the correct year cans are readily available. For the cam lock lids look on the top under the handle for the date and a W for water. Sent from my iPhone...

    M37 Instruments and switches

If you can download a copy of TM 9-8030, page 24-27 has a really good explanation of lighting & switch operation. It includes black & white photos of the black out lights as mounted on the truck. You should be able to get a good idea of where the lights would have been originally located on your...

    M37 Instruments and switches

Your instruments appear to not be original and may have illumination built in. The indicator lights appear to have been changed as well. I’ll see if I can get a picture of an original panel for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M37 Instruments and switches

I think You should have one high beam indicator and two panel lights. You rotate the little window toward the instrument you need to illuminate. They are not much but do produce a little illumination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Civilian parts crossover

The date on the box is 2018, I didn’t realize it had been 5 years. Time seems to get away from me these days. I apologize for leading you down a wagon path. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Civilian parts crossover

I did not see the NAPA part number listed on line. I went to the local store with the numbers and the counter clerk looked it up. He had them in the store for me to pick up by 0730 the next day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Civilian parts crossover

Be sure to note that the left and right side are different. The piston sizes are different at either end. I have attached pictures of both boxes so you can see the individual part numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Civilian parts crossover

Wheel cylinders from my local NAPA store. They were in stock in the warehouse and delivered the next morning. Perfect fit and function. I don’t remember the cost but I remember it was cheaper than any online place and there was no shipping charge. I also got a 10% AAA discount. Sent from my...

Anyone know what type of Schrader valve the A/C system uses?

I’m sure you will get some good advice but, if the core has been missing for a while I would recommend you take it to a service shop and have a vacuum pulled on the system before it is charged. Moisture will accumulate in the system if has been open to the atmosphere. That little bit of moisture...

Cargo cover frame restoration - Bow top strap dimensions?

I don’t know if the webbing shrinks at all but I took mine off the truck and stretched it out on a flat surface, it measured 96” as opposed to 96-3/4”. It is pretty old and has been wet and sun baked many times. I suppose if it is cotton it would be reasonable to imagine that it could have...

Cargo cover frame restoration - Bow top strap dimensions?

The center loop looks good and the length looks good. The only thing I see from your drawing is the two end loops should lay flat when stitched. The web is folded back flat on itself and stitched making the end to end measurement 8’. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cargo cover frame restoration - Bow top strap dimensions?

My top strap measures 1-13/16” wide by 8’ long. The end loops are 4” overlap and the center loop 6-3/8”long sewed down at 5-1/2” producing a loop for the center bow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Registering a deuce from out of state to Ohio (Hamilton County)

I registered 3 trucks and several trailers without issue, I don’t have a HMMWV but know of several successfully registered ones in Southern Ohio. Ohio has a pretty large contingent of MV owners. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Registering a deuce from out of state to Ohio (Hamilton County)

I’m sure the Cincinnati-Dayton Crew will chime in but I registered my Deuce at the DMV in Ross County without an issue. It was a few years ago but I had an out of state title from Government Liquidation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it would help, I have a take off core support in my spare parts stash. I could probably get it to Findlay to the show next month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
