    M939 air filter mod

So I managed to borrow a Donaldson intake cap from a brand new Oshkosh fmtv. (It's huge) Have to get an adapter to reduce to the 939 intake. The new fmtv intake stacks apparently are much larger. Once set up I'll post what happens. Trucks enough of pig with out getting dirt in air intake! I'll...

    M939 air filter mod

I've put 3 filter minders in thinking bad spring, bad from factory etc all related the same. wondering, I don't run the truck in water or deep water. What about removing the entire military air intake and using one of the high performance k&n diesel racing air filters directly at the air intake...

I pulled the intake cover and ran it today. Not a lot of difference, maybe 10% less on minder to 65 % after 15 mi. may look into ram air cover myself to see what happens.

    936a2 air valve question

Ok, so after fighting to remove that leaking valve for close to 2.5 hours after removing I took it apart and there's a little brass sleeve that rotates with the actuator lever that was a little worn, and on the actuator arm bushing there was also a broken O ring I located a new valve and...

    936a2 air valve question

Same here. Makes no sense. so... The leak is through the vent cap.... I'm wondering for the sake of just doing it...if I put a 1/4 pipe plug in place of the vent to stop the leak what would happen...obviously the leak would stop but would it create another situation

    936a2 air valve question

I've been through the TM schematics pertaining to the air system and unless I'm blind I can't find what this valve is called in order to replace it. It mounts behind cab on the A2 crane truck or wrecker if you prefer its venting air constantly from my secondary tank oddly enough when messing...
