My MTVR, took 1st place in Audubon NJ Christmas Parade on Nov 26th before I went into the Coatesvill VA PTSD program. Man I miss my family and driving that thing.
I parked it in the front of the yard and plugged it in until I return in February to remind the Neigbors that it isn't going...
I've got the same issue, mine was missing all of the reducible pieces. I found a complete windshield and top, but guess I'll be making everything else from scratch on the plasma table when it gets delivered.
Is your truck a runner? Mine was not, water was full in the intake tube to withing 2...
No water in the pan, but this thing is super stuck I've been pulling on it with a breaker bar and a barring tool basically every day this week and I only got it to move half a flywheel tooth or so. Time for the head to come off.
She has arrived! In the pictures I thought the big intake tube was capped... it was not. Water was full to about 2 inches short of the turbo.
No water in the engine, but condensation seized the rings. Got all the bores soaking in marvel mystery oil... has 394 hours and 5600 miles on the odo.
I'm hoping to get as close as possible. The top part of the cab that forms the top part of the doors will be the hardest. Most of it I'm thinking of fabricating in steel the first go, although I have access to tigs and spool guns. Back part shouldn't be TOO bad... doors will be interesting too...
Well, I placed a bid on a non runner out of GA last week and ended up winning. Been my dream truck ever since I laid eyes on one when I was in the Corps. Racked up a lot of miles in convoys in Afgarbagecan as an a driver in them.
