    FAV engine rebuild

Craig, were you able to tell if your flywheel was lightened? Re: Engine Cases-I spoke with a former CB Performance employee back then (CB used to be Claude's Buggies). CB was one of the companies that sold Don Hatz the parts he used to build up engine cases. The VW Engine Number list on...

FAV Fuel Cell/Tank Anti-Squeak Foam Strips

I use this self-adhesive closed cell 5mm foam for another purpose (Special Forces GMV IED Kevlar Seat anti-squeak). When applied to your fuel cell along the V support bracket area at the B Pillar it can help eliminate the annoying squeaks: CJ5 Jim still has the remnant of a similar foam...

FAV Engine Protection System Circuit Board: Front Plate Dimensions & Discussion of Function/Possible Remanufacture

Can somebody please give me the dimensions for the exterior face plate for the FAV Engine Protection System? I am trying to have the face plates made again, at a minimum; the entire functional EPS circuit board if possible. I am talking to a couple different electronics people about the tech...

    Rear seat base installation

My un-installed Driver Side rear seat bucket is not pre drilled for installation pop rivets. The truck bodies were pre-assembled by type before setting on the chassis. The blind rivets are installed on the crew compartment side of the tub. I wouldn't think the trans tunnel would be prefilled...

FAV #0014 Has Emerged! Chassis 1592

9th Infantry Division FAV #0014 has emerged, Chenowth Chassis 4LWC 1592, so far the 2nd lowest number known to still exist behind Mogman's #0010. Important stuff is intact, especially the rear anti-sway bar system. She is going to need side bins, radio shelf, wedge fuel cell, air log...

    FAVs at Military Vehicle Museums

In the parade the FAV has a weapons mount installed on top, I can't tell if it is original or copy yet. It is tough to see with the piece of camo net there but it looks like it has the bolt lug welded to the square tubing side, for the clamp. Guess we have to find somebody who lives close...

    M1152 PART NOMENCLATURE

The DWF Sensor Cup was originally installed on the body by the frame in the A Pillar area. The installation of the armor upgrades over the GWOT necessitated the cup be relocated to by the front differential... That narrow bracket between the brake guards is the 2nd different variation...

Questions, Seat, Antenna, Fuel Gauge, more.

As a reference, the original Modification Work Order Kit the military issued to replace those 1st gen seats with the Highbacks, 57K0290, you can find in the TM section. It will show you what had to be air chiseled off the driver position, and how the footwell was modified with 2 aluminum...

XM1041 TOW FAV REAR STOWAGE SHELF

Roger this pic was in the magazine article you posted in the 9th ID Facebook Group. Looks like aluminum blocks clamped around the rear frame tubes with a flat bar connecting both sides, that supported the stowage shelf overtop the engine bay. Is that an Empi air filter box over the carb...

    Rear seat base installation

The two pcs of aluminum tubing with the ends squished flat are for the tunnel insulation panels. The long silver/bare aluminum strip closes the tunnel side of the seat boxes. The installation would have another sheetmetal flange about 4-5 inches long for the seat bucket to the rocker panel...

    Rear seat base installation

Your truck never had the factory fitted rear seat bases/buckets, so you do not have rivet holes in the transmission tunnel and floor, is your problem?

    Rebuilding FAV #91

Was this another former Wackenhut Security/Nevada Test Site Security Car? With the rear wheels mounted on the car, would there be space on each side for a spare centered where each of the receiver mounts were? And in the movie "(The) Delta Force" were there spare tires or something else...
